Possibility of an East Coast version of the Epic Sedan GTG???
^You think we're the only ones with tolls?
The West coast meet is in Long Beach. Not exactly centralized.
And one of the guys drove all the way from Washington.
Yes the east coast is longer, but we're also trying to make it more central for everyone.
If you're paying for gas to drive to TN or NC, I don't think tolls are much of a legitimate concern.

So, out of curiosity, what Privat wheels do you have?

Privat Profiles, although I'm looking to get new ones soon. A deer accident last year sent me off road and dented a rim. Although I was able to get it fixed they only straightened the rim and could not re-chrome/paint.
Privat stopped making these 2 years ago so no replacements exist.

Oh and one guy from Washington. One guy?
Ok then you pay $13 dollars for the Verrazono Bridge here. My first comment wasn't even directed to you so relax. Why dont we just put the whole meet in your backyard to make it just that more convenient for you shall we. Im done here.
Way to overreact
Back when people were talking about a national meet, I was very strongly against FL (my back yard)
It's inconvenient because it's on one end of the coast.
I was hoping people would be happy about a centralized location.
$13 for one bridge? Yeah, I'll give it to you, that's a little rough... but let's put that in perspective:
Long Island, NY to Robbinsville, NC: 780mi
Round trip: 1560mi
Gas used (assuming ~23MPG): 68Gal
Cost (assuming ~$3.50/Gal): $237.40
Does a $13 toll really amount to a hill of beans?
I don't mind spending a couple hundred in gas because it's a cool trip and an awesome location. But if you're griping about $13 tolls, I'm guessing you were "done here" a long time ago.

Coming from Boston the one nice thing about NC is long winding back roads with minimal traffic and speed limits at 45mph. It's not "fast" but it makes for spirited driving when you are cruising at 50+.
Also if you are headed north to south and end up taking route 84 from VA into NC there is a stretch 15-20 miles long of very straight hilly roads that allow you to see 2-3 miles ahead and safely break 100 mile per hour speeds.

^LOL.
Yeah, only problem with the Manfrotto... Mounting in the back seat doesn't give NEARLY the perception of speed that a low angle off the bumper does.
(also the guy driving in that vid was a lot faster than me
)
