What does it mean if theres no power to car at all?

 

In my case it was a dead battery. I can't explain why I had trouble jumping it but I replace the battery and it has started perfectly every time. Fortunately I was still within the battery warranty so it was a marginal cost for the new battery.

 

I just replaced my OEM battery a few months ago. I havent started it in almost 2 weeks but i unlocked/locked the doors two days ago and it was fine. Weird. I'm gonna try to jump it and see what happens.

 

ye my battery was just dead, the car is perfectly fine now and i drive it in the winter now that i have the tires on

 

Which battery did you buy to replace it? Do you have a multimeter to see how many volts the Battery is putting out?

 

I bought a Sears Diehard Gold. Long warranty. I dont have a multimeter to check it. It was starting great since I changed out the OEM one. Almost instantaneous. 2 days about, the door locks and windows were working fine.

 

Die hard gold are good batteries. Hmm

Well jump it, if it turns on I would bring the battery to sears right away for a test.

 

Right. One thing I'm slightly concerned is that maybe water from the melting snow in NY could have cause a problem with the starter. Possible?

Edit: Forgot to mention I have a TS hood. I'm thinking maybe since the snow melted during the day, it could have dripped onto the starter and froze once the temps dropped. I'll have to check on it once the morning comes. Expecting more snow tomorrow though. Sucks. Car's been sitting for almost 2 weeks.

No sound system or anything that could be using the battery. Only have CCFL tubes in the footwells, but those are wired to the cig lighter. Also got the Usa Spec but that only works with the radio. So I'm stumped.

 

Hey I'm having the exact same problem also. I didn't drive it for two days and now it won't start. It's been extremely cold here in ny and I k ow it's not the battery because I just had. It replaced a month ago. It makes clicking noises and the dash lights come on and my windshield wiper goes on swell but no turning over. I got a jump start and got it to start but it died soon after and won't start again. Not a battery problem but can it be starter issue even though I got it to turn over and start even if it was brief.

 

Op should just store the car and when spring time rolls around. Change the oil and reconnect the battery, then start the car.

 

You guy should check ur throttle body.. Their is diy on how to clean it too.
I also had the working battery, light on dash, crank but no start. They say it was the throttle body Which they replace. It works fine now. I think because I didn't change my filter in the front so all the dirt started getting into the throttle.
