My Gas Pedal is Sticking!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Members, So i was cursing in my 2003.5 G35 sedan today. And this Modded GTI VW comes besides me trying to egg me on! So i slowed down to about 40ish and did the 3 honks and then i Stomped my gas pedal. When i was trying to let off the pedal it never came back with my foot. Very scary it was stuck i had to press it twice to release it. Luckly there was an open road because it did not come back right away!!. Has ayone experienced this before? I am out of warranty will "Stealership" Fix for free? And i did win the race but not the way i wanted to!!

the dealer ship will fix anything that is life threatening that should no help. EX: seat belt motors will always be replaced by dealer even if you are out of power train warranty.

I don't care that you were racing, but why the **** did you stomp your gas pedal? You obviously have an auto- highlighted by your elementary driving style, but seriously, are you 16?

Anyways look at the pedal assembly. I'm not familiar with it but you probably damaged something related to the tension of the pedal. IE: The spring on our clutch pedals.

Look for obvious obstructions (ie floor mats) that can entrap the pedal assembly before assuming there's something wrong with the system itself.

I dont know why you guys just cant leave out the small talk. Me beging "16" or My "elementary driving style" has nothing to do with the thread. thank you for your answers. I took it to a shop and they said everything seems to be ok. they actually put the car on the lift and gased it and the pedal didnt stick.

If you did have a AT what would you have done. 50% throttle 75% throttle please tell mr. Pro Racing Driving styleMassios??

I did that right after the pedal released itself. Nothing obstructing the pedal from coming back with my foot!

never heard of this happening on our cars, But don't be stupid, pop it into Neutral Immediately, get on the brakes, pull to the side of the road and shut her down then investigate.
