How NOT to wash your G35.

The wife and I were on our way home last night when we saw a gray G35 coupe fueling up at a gas station. We live in VA and recently had snow, so the roads were a little slushy and covered in road salt. Anyway, the coupe owner grabs the window washer wand next to the pump and starts using it to wash the side of his G35 where the snow/salt had accumulated just past the front wheel. Over and over he slide the wand over his paint, returned the wand to the washer fluid container and then scrubbed away at the grime on his G35s paint. Maybe I'll see his car in the detail section later, wondering why he has major scratches all over his paint. Ugh!

i know someone that there little brother washed his car with the sponge that you do the dishes w/ and it was the scratchy side. He was thinking only how to help out his older bro. I think he's like 10 yrs old or around that.

I don't think you can buff that out? My friend tried that. But he tried himself and not some professional detail guy. But that sponge did a lot off damage to the whole car.

Yes, it can be "buffed" out. Using the right polish/rubbing compound with the right polishing pad will most likely work just fine.
