^Your car has to sit for at least a half hr without running to get an accurate read off the dipstick.
The transmission filler tube is by the firewall. It's a little hard to spot, but the cap is held on with a 10mm bolt.
Being that you have an 03, you may not have a dipstick. If not, get one for an 04 350z, it'll work just fine.

^Castrol Syntec is a good choice, so is edge.
Steer clear of Mobil1 Synthetics though.

As for the filter, stay away from fram.
Purolator PureOne is the way to go IMO.

take it to the Infiniti dealer... If they are reputable, your car will be in good hands. I have the exact same car and I trust the Infiniti dealer with all maintenance. They just rebuilt my tranny (110k miles) in Winston-Salem NC and I must say, my car is like new again.

^The dealer is almost always going to use a Nissan oil filter, which is made of fail.

I know, most will be cheap when it come down to it but, if anyone were dealing with such profesionals that are in Winstom-Salem, they could speak just as highly as I am. I should be getting payed for talking like this but, I am extemely pleased with there work...

The 0W-xx stuff from them is actually good, so is the EP versions.

But they are more expensive and not usually found at advanced/Autozone.

Syntec and Edge are cheap when on sale and are really good in the VQ

Also forgot, he asked about quantity.

OP, Wal*Mart carries a 5/qt jug that's perfect for our cars.

You'll also want to watch out at advanced, auto zone, etc... sometimes they have great sales on oil.
