'06 Sedan 6MT - question on shifting problems
My car is 2006 sedan, 6MT, with 34,500 miles.
Just changed the trans oil and rear diff oil this weekend. I'm now using Amsoil.
My car was making some "hard shifts" going up into 2nd, 3rd and sometime 5th. It's not really grinding, but when I shift it feels like I'm hitting something. The problem was there before and after the oil change.
I did search and read about other people having the same problem, but I can't tell from the posts if anyone has gotten resolution. Is it the syncros for sure? Has Nissan put out a TSB on this?
My car still has powertrain warranty left, so I'm going to take it to the dealer to have it checked out. Does anyone know of a better way to describe this problem other than "it feels like I'm hitting something when I shift" or "it doesn't shift smooth"?
Also, it doesn't always have this problem. Sometimes it does shift smooth, but it doesn't appear to be temperature related for me. I live in Phoenix, so it never really gets that cold, but even after driving the car for a while it may still do this.
Thanks.
