04 sedan heater only works above 2000rpm

hi i have an 04 g35 sedan and the heater only blows hot air above 2000rpm. when the car is at idle it blows freezing cold air. when i am on the freeway it blows hot air. please help

I had the same problem. I had let the coolant level go too low and air got into the system. Check the coolant level in the overflow reservoir.

ok i put coolant in today and it was really low. but my heater still doesn't work at low rpms. i think i may have air in the system. how do i get this air out? please help

How low was the fluid? My reservoir was actually bone dry and a lot of air got in. So much that I actually had to fill it to max a couple of times after the car cooling down before the heater began to work normally.

There is a screw in the back that is used to get the air out, its next to the ATF dipstick. Next to the battery compartment.

I am not sure how to do it, Search around.

thank i just put coolant in and my heater works. i just dont understand how i was that low on coolant

^ eh, leak or your engine is eating, you should get your oil tested and or look for green puddles.
