Took my car in for a few little quirks.

The G that I got from my brother lived its whole life in a warm climate. When I brought it home a few weeks ago, the temps were in the teens and 20's. Since then, my speakers would make a loud popping feedback, static noise as my car started up for the first time in the AM; the windshield washer hoses froze to death; and my clock spring creaked.

When it was all said and done, they gave me a new bose amp, lubed clock spring, new washer hoses, did the airbag recall, and checked all 6 spark plugs for any oil. The car came with the elite warranty til 84k miles, so I paid nothing . He even said my plugs still looked brand new and had no oil at all. He even admitted that it was a common thing he's seen before. That kinda makes me feel a little more secure now. Glad I got my car back though, that G37 they loaned me was growin on me.

Good to hear the dealership took care of you. Rare for most infinti dealerships.

Wow i see all kinds of threads on people worried about the cold between the teens and 30's. My car has been starting up in the negative teens, the muffler vibrates so much it makes noise on the rear deck, everything creaks and the engine whines like a 6 year old kid. You're lucky it inly gets as cold as it does in your area. It scares me to.start the car when its that cold, but its my dd.

^Yea, cold scares me to lol My cars muffler vibrates against the ice and sounds horrible. It also shakes if the temps are around -15 to -20. Actually died on my after being run for about 5-10 seconds. Lugged then killed. Started right back up with a little help of the accelerator until it was able to reach a temp that it would stay running. Took about 10 seconds of throttle.

I'm surprised they changed the washer hoses. My dealer would have told me to go park in a garage for a couple hours or to stop using cheap washer fluid. They def would have made me pay

The cheap blue washer fluid they sell sucks. It freezes in the 20's. Do yourself a favor and walk to the back of the store and get the premium stuff. It stays liquid to negative temps.

Coldest my car's seen this year has been -8 degrees. At that temp, i need to make sure my AUTO HID's are off when i crank the motor or it will lug and stall. Teens and 20's are a heat wave!

I hate starting my car in the cold we have now, I feel like it's about to explode when I turn the key. It's been averaging around -10 to -15, not including the wind chill (which is a problem since my car is out in a parking lot). It could start warming up anytime now haha.

Janik you should explain or ask people what they think the shudder is when you first start it when it's that cold. It isn't normal for any car and it's kind of sketchy.

Gotcha well I guess you won't have to worry about it soon anyways.

Mine does it when it's been really cold (single digits or lower).

It sort of misfires or shakes on startup. I've come to figure out it only does this if i crank at the same time my HID's flick on. If i turn the lights off, and start it comes to life normally.

I just think my battery is in need of replacement soon..it's original.

But other than startup, my car drives pretty much the same at 105 degrees F, and at temps like this

What worries me is the whine that happens in the first 10 seconds. Sounds like when you rub a polished piece of metal with a piece of rubber and no lube, similar to sneakers in a basket ball gym

Thats exactly what my car does, but it only does it when its REALLY cold. Like sub zero. Anything above it and it starts normal.

I dont have auto headlights, so it does it regardless if thats on or not.
