Taking off my Rear spoiler and emblem this minute Pics inside Need little help

First question is I have my spoiler unbolted.. Its just hanging by a wire.. Where do I disconnect the wire at.. I dont really wanna cut it for if I sale it or whatever.

2nd question is im trying to remove my infiniti emblem on the back.. I removed the liner under the trunk and I dont see a bolt for it

There is no bolt for the emblem. It's just double sided tape. Heat it up with a blow dryer/heat gun and run dental floss between the emblem and paint. Then use goo gone or wd40 to remove the excess tape.

You do realize there are two holes behind the trunk emblem right?

There are holes. You will need to fill and paint but I assume you are doing that anyway

Okay so there is holes behind it why? If it's on by 3m adhesive why is there 2 holes behind it? Yea I'll get them filled and painted when I redo whole trunk.

Alignment.

Plenty of manufactures use alignment holes for centered emblems like that.

The Infiniti emblem has two plastic guides that go into the two holes in the trunk. The guides just hold it in the right spot, the emblem is only held on by 3m tape.

Also there is a connector you can unclip to remove the spoiler without cutting the wire (really xxxxxxxxx...you just cut it!?!? lol) When you have the lining off you should be able to find it by wiggling around the wire going into the trunk. It is connected to the wiring that goes to the lock mechanism.

Did you secure the loose end? Lord knows we don't need any more rattles.

Yea I did.. JW does $320 sound about right for them to weld all holes shut including ones where the infiniti emblem went and paint trunk?

Also thinking about molding a m3 lip while they are doing all that might as well right..
