new infiniti g sedan owner

I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm new to this forum and to Infiniti's in general. I bought an 05 g sedan rwd. I've always wanted one but never could afford one. I have to say I'm in love with the car so far. It truly excites me driving it like no other car. Unfortunately my other car is an 08 Honda Accord ex-l while nice is nothing exciting.
Anyways, wanted to know if there were any issues I should be looking for? Any common problems? It's been serviced by the same dealer since it was new religiously so that's some peace of mind.

Welcome!! You shouldn't be worried about any problems yet. These cars are really reliable. A few have oil consumption issues though so check your oil levels once in a while and you'll be fine

I've not done anything yet. not sure about doing much to the car other than this week I'm getting two rear snow tires for here in OH and maybe in the spring get the bigger rims and tires, hell I like the infiniti rims alot that are on the better models to be honest. for the most part I want to keep it clean looking and original "looking" without being original. Maybe buy new exhaust and my front bumper has a crack where the intake vent is so maybe replace it. Not to noticeable but to me it's a bother.

You should get 4 snow tires. No use to get rear ones if you can't stop/turn. Just my opinion.

I love that color, nice find

Keep an ear open for a slow speed rattle over bumps or a high speed vibration . . . or both. If and when that happens, it will possibly be the "compression rod/s". Happened to me last week. Two weeks after I bought this 05 sedan. Had to replace the throttle body at the same time so it was pricey. Both issues are quite common it turns out.

And ya - always 4 snows, not 2. And winter definitely is NOT nearly over up here!

I got my '03 G35 4dr three weeks ago as a daily driver. I'm having too much fun with it and I'm already making some plans for upgrades. I have a '93 vette in the driveway that didn't need the miles everyday.
