I need a measurement!

Hi from Australia

Am heading out today to possibly buy a 35 sedan..

Already have a nice set of wheels waiting to be fitted but i have a feeling they might be a bit extreme.... I am just wondering if anyone here can quickly give me a measurement from a standard height sedan (standard for now)

This one is a Japanese 2001 Nissan V35.... which i believe is the same as the US Infinity 2003 G35

I am trying to work out exactly how far the dish of these wheels is going to protrude past the fender..... so I need the measurement from the hub face to the outer edge of the fender (in millimetres if possible please) on both the front and rear of the car.

Wheel spec to be fitted:

Front Wheels:
* Size: 20" x 9"
* Offset: ET 40mm
* Tyres: 225/35/20 (very stretched look..... very)

Rear Wheels:
* Size: 20" x 10"
* Offset: ET 20mm
* Tyres: 275/30/20 (will be changing these to 235/35/20 or 245/30/20)

or if you know of a pic of a 35 sedan with this setup i would love to see it.....

Ta
Nathan

Stock height from ground to top of wheel well should be around 27.5" (or approx 70cm) front and back.
Hope that helps.

20x10 +20 is going to take some work to make them look good once you lower it. going to need to run about -4 camber, roll and small pull on the fenders. depending on how low you plan to go of coarse

i would run a 245 on it.

-4??? damn i think thats gonna be too much

The measurement i need is from the hub OUTWARDS to the body line. It should be around 100mm or 4 inches....

I know that as the car squats it should introduce camber.... hoping a ride height drop of 1.5 to 2 inches should do enough naturally... dont want to have to drive on the sidewalls.

The fronts wont be an issue, but the rears will take some work like it was mentioned above.

The closest thing I can find is "Alex’s Twin Turbo G35 Sedan" which is said to run "19×10 +25 on 265/30 on the rear" but there is no detail on body mods in this area. If the rear arch is standard (with rolled lip of course) then mine should only stick out 5mm wider??????

here is mine at 20x10 +37 so yours will stick out 17mm more than this. i didnt roll my fenders i cut them completely off and pulled them a couple mm. camber is around -2.5

These look really good. I like how 20's fill the G35 wheel well.

Those wheels look really nice. I am not a fan of redrilling though... The rims should fit, you might need fender modifications.

Welcome to G35Driver

When you get the V35, I'd like to know the production date. I have a very early G35, so it's probably only a month or two apart

As for you wheel question, sorry, I'm no expert in the subject, but you may want to post your question in this thread: https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sed...on-thread.html
Lot's of wheel/tire fitment experts check that thread regularly, and you'll likely get a quick answer.

nice pics kenny! so going by all the numbers, your rear wheels should measure 105mm from the mounting face to the outside edge..... correct? my rears are definitely 120mm..... fronts are 85mm

Baliztik... i agree about the redrilling being a last option.... there is a company here that has done many wheels with great success and no dramas.... but i will only redrill if I know they will be the right width, since it took me so long to find these wheels in the first place

Remember that the hub diameter has to match too. It is not the wheel bolts taking the vertical loads, it is the hub. If that is not a perfect match you will never be able to maintain any degree of wheel balance.
