Reply ASAP! Difference between 04 & 06 G35X?

As some of you know I totalled my '06 G35X two weeks ago. I got an 07 and despite all the bells and whistles I hate the steering wheel and miss my '06.The steering wheel is too fat and ergonimically very oddly shaped. My left hand ACHES every time I drive it for a half hour and I can't seem to find a comfy way to hold the wheel, despite adjusting my hands, the wheel height and depth. All the beauty of the 07 matters not a tad to me. I want another '06. The dealership where I bought my 07 last week will give me a swap with no hidden charges as long as I don't go over 500 miles on the 07 which I have not. They have an '07 with 55k miles on it, black on tan (wish it were black on black) and they have an '04 black on black with 37K miles on it for a tad less money. Is there any difference between the 04 and 06 G35X sedans? I think the dash looks a tad different in pics I have seen. I test drove the 06 black on tan and am waiting to hear when the 04 will be in today or in a day or two. Any big differences? I love my 06 so I don't want to make another bad choice of a year that won't make me happy. As I said the 07 isn't doing it for me. I miss my sedan that sounds and drives like a nascar. All help appreciated on the two years models and your honest opinions.

5at? 6mt?

the dash is updated in the 06, the tials are different, the exhaust is slightly different. if the 06 is a 6mt then it has a revup motor which is prone to the oil consumption issue

Yup you got most of it covered. FYI OP, by different brakes, he means BIGGER rotors. If it were me, I wouldn't settle for an 04. Go with the final production year - the 06.
