Replacing 03 g35 starter! Please help,

Hey, the starter has gone on my 03 g35 sedan, Does anybody know where the starter is located on this car? does anybody have a guide to replace the starter with or without pictures. ( pics would be appreciated) and the last question is does anyone here have a link to a website that would sell OEM starters or high quality starters at fair prices? Thanks alot. You guys has been a huge help in the past and im sure it will be again

most starters are on the same side as the battery. easiest thing to do is get under the car and feel around the bell of the transmission.

Btw you can do a search for the factory service manuals and download it (not trying to sound like a D***, just being helpful for you in the future).

thanks a lot for the reply. I got another question. Once you have the starter off the car , or even when its still on the car is there a way to check if the starter is for sure the problem? Thank you

yea take it to autozone (not sure about kragen/o'reily), they can test it for you for free.
I would NOT (i think you can do it, but not sure how much torque the starter has) advise taking it of the xmsn and turning the ignition on to test it. Someone correct me if you can or cant do that, i just take it to autozone.

Its an easy job takes about 15 minutes to unbolt. Believe it was three bolts and power cable.

Take it to most auto stores and they can check or you can hook it up to a battery and ground out the starter. It will spin if there is power. You can probably google this check but its easier just to bring it somewhere.

2 mounting bolts that are hold it to the bell housing from the engine side. I believe they are both 14mm. There is also a 12mm nut that holds the power cable to the alt.

It is located on the passenger side and is accessible from under the vehicle.

Make sure you disconnect the battery before you do anything so you don't have a live power wire hanging down there.

if you can feel on both sides of the starter you will feel the bolts. the bolt heads will be on the other side of the bell of the transmission.

How about where it says "starter motor mounting bolt" which is NOT what you have circled in red. I think that's what you're looking for. Good luck.
