Saturday Night I drove my car to grab something to eat and it worked perfect! I get in my car tuesday to grab my daughter and I get into my car and my step tronic doesnt work, no fifth gear, and the worst part a huge jerk everytime it shifts gears. I took it to a local shop that I have done work on my other cars transmission and he told me the two censors in the Valve body are bad and need to replace the whole thing. 2700 bucks!

Second person I know said he can rebuild the tranny for 2200 but do I really need a new tranny or do I just need to replace my Valve Body Cover?

HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I forgot to say it is a Automatic.

Step Tronic or Tiptronic! Some people call it one or the other.
