im thinking about juicing my infiniti with a hypertec, i found a shop that can sell it to me for 440 and dyno it for 100. now my g burns to rich, and is a gas guzzler, prbably id say 15 city, and 21 highway. is hypertec the way to go?

A tune is only as good as a tuner. If you have a noob/retard tuning he cane blow up stock motors.

Osiris is about the best option you out there mainly because its a lot more customizable. Hypertech only allows you to flash pre-made tunes AFAIK. No one including Cobb themselves really care for the Accessport in the nissan world.

Osiris tune could be somewhere in the $500-600 range but you could get a fuel economy tune and a more hp/tq tune. You can switch off very easily. Do what you want to do

Do you have any mods? The engine shouldn't be running rich. How do you know it is running rich? Is it based solely on poor MPGs?

Have you ever calculated out true MPG? That's really going to answer the question here. If you do lots of sub 5 mile driving, especially in the cold, your MPGs will be dismal and 15mpg isn't uncommon. If you live in a cold climate along with the oxygenated winter fuels, MPGs will tend to be 10-15% lower. Ethanol in the fuel (which most fuels have now) will also reduce fuel economy by at least 5%.

These cars are not designed for fuel economy. The transmissions are geared deeply for acceleration, not ecomony. Getting 16 to 18mpg in town and 22 to 25mpg on the highway is very common.

Hopes of improving MPG with a tune is a stretch. There are tuners out there that may improve MPG, but they do so by killing throttle response to limit power.
