2003 BMW 325i....and my 2003 G35 experience....

I have an 03 with 130km, and I love every inch of it. It's auto, bone stock, but it just runs good (i need some maintenance soon though when spring hits, im too cold), anyway, my buddy just got a 2003 Bmw 325I with 140km and of course they are nice cars and what not but slow as hell, and a lot of road noise. So I thought it was just his car, maybe wheel bearings or something, so then I went and drove another one. This one was a 330 with like 90km at this dealership, and it make the exact same type of road noise that I never ever hear when I drive my G.

What I'm trying to say is that recently two BMW were purchased in my familly, a 2001 325i, and a 2002 325i, plus my buddy who just got his 2003, and let me tell you except the manumatic/tiptronic there is absolutely nothing on the bimmers that satisfies me more than my G.

Overall room, road noise, power, and the bimmers are great looking inside but the G's got more, i don't know how to say it, futuristic look LOL....mind you though I love the tiptronic in BMW but again I should've gotten a manual (damn women, she doesn't even want to bother to learn manual)

Is this just me being G crazed, or is really G35 a better overall choice than the 3 series e46 bmw (except m)

what is your thoughts on this!

i agree...my friend has a 328is and he's modified it with all sorts of things and when my G was still stock it was way faster, more comfortable and more fun. Don't worry its not just you lol

I love my G, but if it ever got wrecked, I'd be looking for an E46 330i ZHP or M3.

IMHO, it would take more than a 330i for me. Not enough performance diff.

I think I'd go G8 or GXP

I have a 2003 G Coupe and a 2005 BMW 330CI. IMO since I drive both I like each car differently. In 09 I bought the G for 17k and in 08 I bought the BMW for 25K. I prefer the BMW interior over the G, since it has Alcantara and carbon interior and over all looks better. When it comes to performance the G will out run the BMW in a straight line without a problem. When it comes to handling hands down the BMW handles better. The 330 has the M package so it has super stiff suspension, while the stock G kind has a floaty feel. I test drove lower 3 series and they did lack the power. The G coupe really doesn't have much competition in its class since there are really none. The BMW has plenty and I think it is at the top of its class. Both cars are great cars in their own respect.

BTW the BMW was expensive because of the options the car had on it.

Add a set of Z springs in the front, coupe springs in the rear, Z shocks all around, a RSB, and some larger and wider 18s with summer rubber and you can be assured the handling nature of the G will change significantly. I've driven my friend's stock 04 (non-sport) RWD G and it rides and handles like a Camry compared to my G. My G can be a bite stiff legged, especially in colder temps, but damn, a sedan shouldn't handle like it does.
