Locked out

I don't know how this happened (or maybe i'm still in denial) but i successfully locked myself out of my car this morning, key in the ignition and the car running.... Argh!!

I'll get over it but while I wait for the lock smith here are a few shots from my phone... what else is left to do?

So you locked yourself out of your car AND it's on fire?

Hope it all worked out OK.

Sucks! I've done that before. Luckily I was within walking distance of getting a spare key.

But I've seen this happen to others as well. You could've cracked open part of the door, near the top corner, and stick some sort of rod and rolled down your window since your car was on.

Didn't you get something that is the size of a credit card that has the spare in it attached. You cannot run the car because it does not have the chip in it. its just the metal.
Anyway, you just got raped for the 80 bucks hahaha that sucks man!

It's happened to me before and i swear it wasn't my fault! Is it a feature of the car to lock itself? some kind of auto lock feature? I've locked myself at least twice with engine running ;( weird thing is i cant reproduce this feature.

It just seems to happen sometimes. I've become so paranoid, every time i have to run out of my car real quick while it's running, i crack open a window slightly.

First time it happened had to get a ride from the ex to go get my spare keys, took about an hr my poor baby (the G)

I'd have to break the window on that one. Lol

Let's just says it's a lesson learned. Now I have a spare in my wallet at all times.

This is one of those few moments that gives you an instant feeling of hopelessness. Kinda like getting to the cash register and then realizing you left your wallet at home.

Just noticed my rear wilwood caliper in the first pic. It used to be black now it's white.

Anyone had this problem before?
Do you think it's safe to paint?

I have an extra remote in the car, if I want to leave it running I leave the keys (and the pain in the *** to get off the key chain remote) in the ignition and take the extra remote and lock the doors.
