All G35x owners check in!!
Hey guys...I've been lurking around this board for a while and I see nothing but a few reviews on the car, personal opinions, etc.
How many X drivers are on here?
Are there no other X owners that are into the modding aspect of the car? There are parts up the wazzu (sp?) for the coupe and even for the regular sedan but why isn't there anything for the X? Also, shouldn't we have a lil something on this great website that some of us call home? how's about a X section or something along the lines of that?
Being an ex-WRX owner, there was so many options for me. now, with the Gx, options are so limited. *sigh*
Ok, enough ranting from me...
We will now return you to your regularly scheduled programming...

Re: All G35x owners check in!!
Correction, there are few parts for the sedan and many, many more for the coupe. The problem with the X is the front set up. This robs you folks of some of the current exhaust designs and sway bars but thats about it. Body kits are hard to come by for the sedan, suspension systems are slow but they trickle in, superchargers are out there but not in the variety as the coupe. Sedan owners have fought long and hard to get any of what we have so don't feel like you have nothing for the X many parts don't care if you have an X or not just that you are a sedan.

Re: All G35x owners check in!!
I don't feel TOO slighted when it comes to aftermarket parts, mainly on the exhaust side. Most of the stuff goes right in!!
Anything on the intake side short of FI should fit (and even some FI kits). Anything South of the Y-pipe should fit. Pullies, plenums, headers, nitrous........whaddaya want?
My major gripe has been the lack of a full-blown exhaust system for the "X" cars.
BTW, I do consider myself a "modder"...........I even modded a loaner.

I agree with /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\ /\.
I have a X, dropped it with the sedan Eibach kit, and haven't been disappointed with the aftermarket selection either (except for the exhuast issue of course).

I haven`t done any mods to my X yet, but I have found , on other cars, that a good exhaust shop can usually make up a decent system cheaper than the "name brand" systems.

I haven't lowered my car nor desire to. The issue is availability of aftermarket exhausts or lack there of. I've inquired with some of the manufacturers to no avail. I want plug n' play, not a custom job. Me and ChicagoX have rattled the drum on occasion.
I love my X and theres still aot that i have to do to it.......i would get a custom exhaust if i hadnt already, its worth it........i wish there were some more body kits made for the sedan.........
Here in Mn I have a 04 x t.blue dk graph auto. Have a few mods like a 7 wire grounding kit, z-tube, k&n filter, clear turn lamps, I was thinking of the side mirrors w/the signal in them from japanparts.com but I am not sure does anyone have them and are they worth the money and is it easy to install them?

ohh thats your car, i have seen picutes of that. it looks great. i had that idea to make the exhaust look like the m45 or m3 but didn't have that much money to play with. how does it sound?
It looks cool but doesent offer anything greater then a regular borla exhaust.. Look how small the piping is going to the right side of exhaust tips. I bet on a cold morning you will only see steam comming out from the left side.
