Dash light problem

A new problem has appeared with my 2003 Sedan....
Last month I started her up and took off. I quickly noticed the
dash was not lit, could not see the speedo or tachometer.
I pulled to the side of the road, turned her off and back on.
Dash lights returned. Yesterday it happed again. Did the same
procedure of turning engine off and restart. Id did not work, still
no dash back light. Turned her off again and back on, the dash
lit up. So I took off and all of a sudden, the dash went dark.
Pulled over and did the reset again. Dash light came back.
Well....this morning it happened again. This time I simply
put my hand on the key and moved it, the dash lights came
back on. It seems like the ignition switch is faulty? Any ideas.
I'm sure when I take it to the dealer I will not be able to
reproduce this problem.

Re: Dash light problem

Have the dealer test the ignition switch. Looks like you've found where the short is, so I'm sure they won't mind testing and replacing it.
