Has anyone noticed a weird sound when making sharp left turns?

Usally it means you need new brakes or a CV boot has ripped...

What type of sound are you hearing?

There is a creak / creaking sound reported on sharp turns that comes from the front of the G. A TSB was issued to resolve this involving increasing clearance between the radiator support and the frame. I have this problem, and it only happns on sharp turns over bumps or into driveways. Read the full TSB here

Thanks for the info TallG35. Is this a problem with 2004 model year though?

I am not sure if they corrected this on the 04 and later.

Rear-wheel drive cars don't have CV boots.

Re: Weird noise on sharp left turns

I've had front wheel drive cars my whole life, so when I heard the description I just automaticly responded it sounded like a CV boot hehe

Re: Weird noise on sharp left turns

No prob. You're forgiven now that you drive a car with the correct drive wheels.

Re: Weird noise on sharp left turns

I'm guessing by the "G35X" in the original poster's name that he has an AWD variant. If this is the case, then he does indeed have driveshaft boots. The description can be found in the FAX section of the 2004 FSM.
