I have the sport 18s with 45 series sidewall. It rides very nice and smooth. I wouldn't want to change that much so I'll only ever consider 18s or 19s.

Now I have staggered 20's was afraid of bad ride but to my surprise on some worn on springs and struts rides like a ... a.... BMW! No lie maybe the weight slowed me down some idk but I have some expensive tires brand new for once and man everyone noticed the difference. Ride is stiff but smooth and almost no bounce. Its takes a bump and smooths out sweetly. I LIKE MY 20's the look small with a deep lip and can fit with with no adjustments to springs and fenders!!! I say go big.
I have 20s with nexen n3000s. The ride is a bit harsh. Do you think if I went with Continental extreme contact DWS I would notice a difference? Thanks!

Ummm yes. The Nexens are one of the cheapest tires out there, and aren't known for their superior ride.

I'd go for 20" for a 2nd gen. The car has enough girth that 20"s don't look too big.

i do notice the road more w/ 20's. I feel everything on the road. When i had stock 17's didn't feel as much as the 20's but it still rides smoother. But after running w/ 20's for so long now, you don't really notice it until you have a passenger that points that out to you. lol

DO NOT FORGET Continental is a high brand luxury tire producer.....they make "fatter tires" even in their sport line. I learned the hard way... I previously had some v....streams on the rear and now running continentals same profile "275/35/20" and well the continentals rub where the old cheap ones didn't. But after some pipe work they ride just as smooth. You shouldn't have a problem with any tires unless your over that 20X10 limit!
