soo tell me what i did!!!

I don't know exactly what I did but I took out my air box and taped/blocked off the bottom opening which I heard goes no where.. I also blocked off the bottom part of the air box near the air filter.. Is this goin to give any benefits to performance?? prolly not but the car does feel quicker in the higher revs..

Why did you do that?

Any pics because im not sure exactly what you are trying to explain.

Any no, no benefit in performance. If it was as easy as taping off or blocking an opening in your airbox everyone would have done it.

There is a resonator underneath the airbox, when you pull it out, you see a small hole on the bottom on the box, and a plastic bottle bolted to the car. I believe it's only a resonator, so I removed the resonator bottle and used a Gatorade cap and 2 sided 3m tape to seal the hole on the box. Intake noise seems louder to me, but it could all be in my head, any performance gains? I don't think it would be noticeable if any.

Ok gotcha, makes sense. I knew about the resinator on the intake tube (that gets replaced by the Z-tube) but not about the one under the airbox.

The whole point of modding a car for performance is to get as much air in your engine. One way of doing that is by not blocking off potential air inlets on the box surrounding your air filter. Just my thoughts.

That hole goes into a resonator, its not an air inlet. I am actualy trying to make it into an inlet, but not until I have it sealed from the engine bay. Im going to run air into it from the vent in the bumper.

There really aren't any performance gains from something as basic as that on the intake, but it might make it louder.
