Hi guys,

I have a 2003 G35 sedan, recently i been experiencing this issue where my radio screen goes blank, buttons loses function, and my air con goes full blast. Anybody know what that problem is and if there is a fix for this? Please help.

i have the same problem except my radio doesnt work anymore and ac is always full blast. iv been driving like this for 3-4 weeks already, and just purchased my dd.

the circuit board goes bad on the stock radios. your best bet is to buy a double din and a jdm double din kit. if you end up purchasing a new stock radio most likely itll happen again within time.

Had same issue. New dash and deck for $450

I had the same thing happen to my 03 Sedan. Battery was dead after 24 hours of sitting. Cd player stopped working and gave me an error. Tape player slowly stopped working with an error given. Then speakers would fade in and out and finally the radio all together went out. A/C was stuck on full blast 75 degrees and none of the buttons worked!...and i felt lucky that it was on 75 degrees because it's hot as hell here in AZ!

After research of what the problem was and watching several DIY videos on how to replace the dash with a kit i decided to let a buddy do it at his shop. I ordered:

Metra Dash Kit with harness and antenna adapter from Amazon - $175
Kenwood DPX308U non-dvd double din unit from Crutchfield- $200
Installed for - $75.

Metra Silver Dash kit matches great to oem dash trim great and fits perfectly with DD unit. I wanted a replacement without paying a ton of money and now everything works great! Hope this helps!

Um, no. Has nothing to do with the computer. It's the circuit board in the radio/ac.
It's all one board, so you have to get either the metra or JDM double din kit with the controls for the AC.

^Exactly.

Really the OEM units are such crap it's not funny.
Mine got the CD-01 error and a jammed disk changer. It was draining the battery overnight. So I pulled the radio, and then gutted the CD changer. That fixed the battery drain issue, and everything else still works (ac/tape/am/fm) just without the CD. Only problem is now it's taken to the lockup issue that yours has. And when I uninstalled it to remove the CD changer, I noticed it had a "refurbished" sticker on it, so the previous owner had already had problems with the unit and had to get it replaced. Such a piece of crap
