Is that a Florida Gator I see on your plate??? Go Gators!!!! Grad. '92

I know, I know...the Peach Bowl was pathetic; beaten like a red-headed stepchild by those 'Canes, but at least we beat the "Noles this year!

Anyhow, I went with just the '05 reverse lights and kept my brake lights...I love the look (and they didn't cost me an arm-and-a-leg)

Better believe I'm a gator! I didn't graduate, though I did spend my first 2 years out of high school at UF (then left because I partied too much) so that's where my loyalties stand. I like that setup too with only the reverse lights, but the dual circles are rather interesting as I don't know of ANY car that has dual LED circles, not even the glorious coupe The other reason I changed to these tails is because the straight lines aren't as unique anymore (BMW has made them standard on a couple models in the 3 series) with even yellow leds which are pretty sweet.

I guess I'm with the ingrate. I think the straight lines of the '04 lights flow with the sedan's lines better than the round brake LED's. Call me a fogy!

I do like the round reverse lights though. I may go with them when I order the under body diffusers for my x.

Though today wasn't a good day for me, guess who knocked on my door today. DSL, with my set of 'O5 taillights, reverse lights and taillights. I finished installing the whole set within an hour. The installation was pretty straight forward- though reverse lights took me a while to tackle. Many thanks to G35papa.

GGGGGGGG - I'm still waiting for my reverse and tail lights (ordered the last week of December from everything35.com) - hope to get mine soon. I've seen a few people mention that the reverse light installation took a bit more work - why? Also, how did you remove the black "Pull" handle on the inside lip of the trunk (i.e. the one that you grab to close the trunk?

Lines or not, I think the essence that the circle lights have is the key. It's a Skyline tradition...

fieldsie, the reason y reverse lights took me a while to tackle was that I had a really hard time removing trunk "Pull" handle. Eventually, I just gave up and did the reverse lights without removing the entire trunk lid inner lining- it was still easy though. Just watch out for those sharp edges around the trunk lid lining when you are trying to hold did during the installation. I got cut several times trying to hold it.

I think both the old light design and the new light design look good on our Gs. The main reason I like the round lights is, like Mr. A wrote, it's a Skyline tradition, the essence of Skyline lineup.

GGGGGGGG, thanks for the info. I can't get the "Pull" handle off either. I'll take your advice on the sharp corners. Can't wait for the new tails.

fieldsie, you got pm

I snapped my "PULL" handle. If I had the chance to do it all over again, I would take the screwdriver and pry it out on the side opposite the side labeled "PULL". Dont pry to hard, its flimsy plastic and can become more brittle with all this cold

Good luck

Pull handle came right out for me... just give it a little tug...

I have to say these new lights really improve the looks of the sedan, makes it look way more sporty.... I thought they were ok looking when I saw the pictures, but the pictures do not do it justice... gotta see them in person..
