double din upgrade

im planning on doing do the upgrade but got a few questions im not sure of

I ALREADY HAVE STOCK NAVI -

1- whats a good double din for a fair price that has the following
( just to watch movies and raido and such )
- 7' screen
- usb input in the front
- ipod connection
- bluetooth
- touch screen
- esp
- and 1 that plays tv/dvd/mp3s/mpg4/and almost any video format
- and something that will be compitable with PAC UNit and my stock Bose amp/subs/speakers

(i dont need navi)

2- what other wires i need... do i need to purchase a g35 wiring harness?

3- im trying to keep my steering wheel controllers to work also .. i read that i need .. the PAC unit do i need both g35 wiring harness and this or just 1??

and will i b able to keep running my bose speakers/amp/sub
or will i have to chng those speakers when i chng dd unit ??

thanks

You will need the pac unit and the nissan wiring harness and you will need the double din radio adapter. You can get everything you need from crutchfield for about $200 unles you want the same type of climate control buttons as tlhe stock ones then you will need to get the JDM dd kit which is about $350 just for the dd kit not including the wiring kit. The metra kit as big rubber like buttons that look a little cheap but you will get use to them after awhile but the JDM buttons look like the factory buttons plus I heard that the jdm kit you will have to modify if you want your dual climate mode to work, but on the metra kit it will work with no modifications.

double din radio adapter .. so 3 wires ??

i found this
https://g35driver.com/forums/audio-v...urce-list.html

and it said..

1. Metra 40-NI10 - AM/FM Antenna adapter.

( im guessing that the regular g35 wiring harness?)

2. Steering Wheel Interface: - Use this PAC SWI-PS for Pioneer X920BT, Z110BT and Z120BT - Use the Metra Axxess ASWC for ALL others.

(im guessing this is for steering wheel controlls)

3. PAC ROEM-NIS2

( and this is to keep my bose speakers/amp/subs?)

is this everything or am i missing something ??

1. Metra 40-NI10 allows the stock antennae to connect to your aftermarket DD.

2. Yes, those are for the steering wheel controls. Unless your DD has blue tooth, you want the Metra Axxess ASWC.

3. Yup, the PAC ROEM-NIS2 wire harness let's you keep the stock amp and spearkers and is the way to go if you aren't planning on upgrading your amp.

You will also need a new a/c controller, which depends on the DD trim you choose. The Metra Kit is the cheapest option which includes the a/c controller, but the buttons are rubber and don't match as well.

If you get the JDM DD trim then you have to purchase the A/C controller seperately and it's more pricey, but IMO is the way to go. There are lots of pictures in the Audio/Video/Electronics forum.

Lastly, you might need a cable if you plan to hook up your ipod to the headunit.
