If you could trade you g in today what would you buy????
I am happy to say that when I was shopping for my car that I had more buying criteria than which one would pick up more prepubescent teenage girls on a college campus.
Lets take a break from a business meeting and haul a 5 of your colleagues to lunch then tally up the vote.

Hmm lets see maybe if you enjoy driving the car, if it's fast, looks good, rides well, is big/ small enough, has the right number of doors, is a wagon, coupe, or sedan.
The list goes on
I've been considering picking up a little hybrid for a daily driver. I'd still keep my G though. With the mileage I put on my sedan, a CR-Z would literally pay for itself in fuel savings, as long as premium in my area stays above 4 dollars a gallon. I just wish that nissan would actually produce the Leaf Nismo RC car. That think looked simply badass!

If I HAD to trade my G...hmm...I keep saying I never will let go of a paid off car. The car is paying me right now. I'd get a Subaru Legacy GT. I wish they'd come in wagon/manual trans still. Or perhaps the Outback. The look has certainly grown on me. White please. I bought the G for looks and I'm a diehard VQ/Nissan fanatic. It's still fun though. I also like Subarus and 30mpg hwy. I also like to surf and practical/newer cars appeal to me now.
I drive 400 miles per week. So at 15mpg, I pay $404/mth in gas (at $4/gln for premium). That means the CR-Z payment @$270/month allows $134/month for gas. Real world mpg on the CR-Z is 40mpg, so with the same 400 miles/wk it'll cost me $159/mth in gas (@ $3.70/gl for reg. unld). That means I'll really only be paying $25/mth for a new CR-Z! Of course, I also have to allow for insurance, which with my multi-car discount should be near $90/mth (haven't verified this).
This of course would only be saving me money if I parked the G all the time though. Now consider the price drops on a few lease turn ins next year and it may actually make me money lol.
...now a production Nismo rc I imagine would be in the mid to upper $20k range but would cost $0 in gas. That would be fun! it still could save money. I have no idea how much the cost to charge those ev cars can be, but look at that friggin thing lol!

Not gonna try to follow your math, other than to say I think you forgot to carry the 1.
Why are you only getting 15 MPG? I was getting that in the winter, but my commute was about a mile, so the engine never got warmed up and I was always running super rich. At 400 miles per week, living in Holland/GRR, I'm guessing you commute on the highway at least part of the time. Something's not right if your MPG is that low.
