weird noise from the rear
well i have been having some weird noise in the left rear of my car..
it started ever since i had a miss happ.
i was chnging lanes and came a lil close to the guy in front and the guy in the rear was coming in fast so stupid of me , did a quick jerk and speed up, to change to the other lane
my back wheels spun out , making my car drift .
when that had happen , my right rear wheel (my passenger rear) hit a curb while drifting to the side..
i didnt bend the rim or anything just major curb rash ..
the next day i took it in to get it checked out
and no visible damage was shown
so i kept driving , but after awhile i heard like a clunking noise coming from the trunk / rear
it usualy happens when i turn the car to the left .
or go over sum bumps or anything that isnt going straight .
i took again, and no one couldnt find the problem they said i would have to leave it with them and hook up lil mics to pin point the problem
so i went back home n took everything out of the trunk cause thats where was the noise coming from.
i let my neighbor drive around while i was sitting in the trunk listening
the noise came from the left rear ..
the noise would only sound when we turn to the left .
i did some search and me and my friend thought it might be the differential
or limited slip defferential ..
the noise is like a clunking noise or like stuff rolling around in the trunk ..
any and all help would be apprectiated
im trying to fix this before my coils come in so i wont have any other problems
thanks

I caught a curb on the right side turning right into a Taco Bell a few weeks ago and didn't hear anything that I recalled. (Maybe it was there and I just only begand to notice it later.) But I hear a noise only when I'm going slightly right. And only when I'm driving at a fast enough speed. It makes me think that whatever it is that is wrong is only agitated when there is enough lateral force on the right rear side of the car when I'm driving. I was wondering if anyone else had this happen after hitting a curb and what it was. I replaced the two rear bearings a few months ago and freakin' DO NOT feel like taking all that crap off again and I'm just hoping someone can tell me that it's likely something else. It doesn't sound like the bearing sounded when they were bad before, you know, the prop plane in the distance sound. It's like a grind grind, grind, grind corresponding to each revolution of the wheel/tire. And again, it's only when turning somewhat slightly to the right. Really, curving right. Before when the bearings went bad, they made noise whenever I was moving. What do you think, folks? If you got nothing, that's cool. I guess I'll be setting aside time to pull this mess off again. At least it's not on the side with the muffler and exhaust in the way. Sigh.
