2005 G35 mileage

My 2005 G35 just reached 165,000 miles and has a service engine soon light
turned on. After checking the code is P1764 and valve body needs to be replaced.
My question is whether it is worth to repair or not? (Repair cost estimate around
$1,400)

2005 g35 sedan sport package.
I have ones it from day 1 with 7 miles on it. Today I have 209600. Still running strong and I drive my car hard. Not on a track or street racing, just over all hard to and from places.

here is my 2003 sedan with just over 300k miles and still drives great. Motor was replaced with a lower mileage one due to leaky headgaskets causing it to overheat.

205,100 miles on a 2003 G35 sedan.

This is what it looked like inside when I changed the valve cover gaskets.

2003 Sport Coupe with 211k currently. Replaced the original engine at 168k when I threw a rod. Back then I drove the car hard everyday and it had a major oil consumption problem. Threw in a another engine with 100k on it 4 years ago and she has been very reliable since. Just replaced the starter last week (original starter to the car that we bolted on with the engine swap). Original tranny is still kicking. It started grinding from time to time on the downshift from 5th to 6th about 5 years ago, but hasn't really gotten any worse. Fixing the door locks and and the window actuators next week, simple DIY stuff thanks to all the great info from this forum all these years. All in all, this car has really surprised me. I mean with the oil consumption, coupled with me with me not giving as much as a **** as I should have with checking the oil level as often as I should, blowing the engine was bound to happen and still didn't happen until 168k...and that was with me driving it like I stole it everyday. Great ****ing car...I'll keep it.
