Dealership Quote Advice and Air Bag Recall

So I took my car into the dealership to take care of an Air Bag recall and they did a multi-point inspection on the G while it was in there and they are telling me that I need to have them perform $3,800 worth of repairs and maintenance. Please tell me what is BS and what I should get done.

1. Replace both rear shocks ...(both rear strut boots torn and hanging)
>>>>> Should I get Aftermarket shocks?? If so which ones?
Dealership wants $535

2. Perform alignment (Found right front lower control arm bushings worn out/split)
Dealership wants $130

3. Replace both front knuckle assembly (both front knuckle ball joints leaking grease and worn out)
Dealership wants $1690

4. Replace upper and lower radiator hoses, thermostat and gasket (Found Cooling system hoses due for replacement)
Dealership wants $577

5. Replace right front lower control arm (Found right front lower control arm bushing worn/split)
Dealership wants $472

6. Replace both rear sway bar links (Found both rear sway bar links worn out/noisy)
>>>> Are there aftermarket options for this?
Dealership wants $271

7. Perform power steering system flush (Found power steering fluid to be dirty/contaminated
Dealership wants $130

I bought my 2003.5 G35 new with 7 miles on it and now have 70,400 miles on it. I have usually done everything that is recommended but this seems a bit overboard. Any suggestions comments or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

1. time for coils? if not look at the tokico blue on ebay. and install them urself.

2. get a lifetime alignment from either firestone or express tire for that price.

3. idk, but i would get on yelp and look for a good shop in your area.

4. same as number 3

5. you do not need to replace the whole arm the arm is fine... the bushings always go bad... buy the bushings alone and have a shop press them in for you.

6. endlinks should cost you 80 bucks tops. replace em urself.

7. turkey baster + power steering liquid.. drain and fill move steering wheel around repeat, do this 4-5 times and ur set!

Good luck.

^ what he said, and in addition:

2. just replace all suspension components necessary then perform the alignment; IMO if you're not driving hard or wanting to change the drive height all the time, you might just need one good alignment and good to go;

3. knuckle ball joints can be replaced, parts are less than $100 and plus labor, I might do mine soon;

5. replace the bushings on both sides, while you're at it you might want to replace the compression rod bushings as well, since with that mileage they'll go bad any time now;

Hope it helps.
