2004 G35 Coupe Exhaust System

I found a guy selling his '04 coupe exhaust system for $100 on craigslist. I told him I'd give him $75. Is that a good deal? Should I have gone lower?

The only useful part to us is the midpipe. Try to negotiate with him to just buy that part and see if he'll go under $50 for you. That would be a good deal.

Right on. So I don't need the coupe muffler either?

No it won't fit on the sedan w/o some serious modification to the trunk and evaporator box location. The y-pipe is the same as yours.

He offered me the whole thing for $70. So if anyone needs a coupe y-pipe and muffler hit me up!

You might want to share that info with coupe owners, maybe looking to return to stock. The Y-pipes are the same on coupe and sedan, and the coupe muffler is pretty much useless to a sedan owner..

Has anyone modified their sedan to fit the coupe muffler? It just looks so nice!

I did some searching and I can't seem to find anyone who's done such a modification. All I found were y-pipe and midpipe mods.

you have to pretty much cut up your trunk, not worth the money or the hassle IMO.

question, installing the midpipe will give the sedan owners the coupe sound?

Not exactly.

The "coupe" sound comes from the combination of the entire exhaust...middy + muffler.

Stop focusing on making your car sound like a coupe, and focusing on making it sound like a great sounding sedan.
