Need to "quiet down" my G! Green Remus?? Help!

Does anyone have any tips on which mufflers would help me reduce exhaust noise? I have an aftermarket y-pipe, Crawford hi-flow cats, and unfortunately, a Flowmaster muffler. I am putting in new headers in a month, so I really want to reduce my noise levels...

Does anyone have any experience with this:

Resonator Muffler Exhaust Green Dual Tip Remus Style

It would look good on my black G...

Do either the Fuji or HKS (hi-power) come with dual tips? I hear these two are quiet??

You could always have a muffler shop weld in some resonators in the straight sections of the exhaust.

A long resonator from DNA in the mid section will quiet it down.

Please don't get that muffler. Those tips are ugly as isht.

Add a small resonator, or buy a muffler that isn't Flowmaster 40 (Im assuming, thats what you have).. The 40 series supposed to be their loudest "street" muffler.

Yes, I have a sedan.

Really, are those ugly? Look good in the picture, and since my sedan is kinda boxy, I found the square look appealing. But I'll stay away from those if ppl have seen them up close and personal.

I'm not sure what Flowmaster I have, the car came with them, and yes, they're loud!

If I add a resonator, will I lose power? Do the HKS hi-power not come with a dual tip? Fuji?

2004 sedan.

Which resonator is a good quality one and will not restrict me too much, given all the work that will be put into the headers and exhaust system.

Thanks for the help!!

honestly w/headers & hfcs a dual pipped setup would be your best but in quieting your system down. if that's too pricey for you then i would purchase a long resonator from magnaflow, i'm guessing since you have an aftermarket y-pipe the outlet is 3" so this could be an option...

mid-pipe:
front of the middy/following the y-pipe

MSRP: $78.59
PART #: 18129
DESCRIPTION: Inlet/Outlet Size: 3in./3in.
Body Shape: 4in. Round
Core Size: 2.5in.
Body Length: 18in.

rear/mid of middy

MSRP: $145.79
PART#: 11219
DESCRIPTION: Inlet/Outlet Size: 3in./3in.
Body Shape: 4in.x9in. Oval
Core Size: 3in.
Body Length: 14in.

w/either...

for an axle-back something like this, depending on your taste

MSRP: $229.55
PART#: 14834
DESCRIPTION: Inlet/Outlet Size: 3in./4in.
Body Shape: 5in.x8in. Oval
Core Size: 3in.
Body Length: 14in.

OR

you could split the rear-section w/a "y"

MSRP: $47.79
PART#: 10778
DESCRIPTION: Material: 100% Stainless Steel
Inlet/Oulet Size: 2.5in. Dual/3in. Single
Overall Length: 10in.

and run 2 of these side-by-side>>> http://www.borla.com/products/produc...?cat=2&type=88

and add what ever tips you want, maybe these>>> http://www.borla.com/products/produc...?cat=3&type=65

I have a magnaflow dual cat-back with kinetix hfc's. The cat-back has two in line resonators right after the x-pipe (which is what bolts to the hfc's). The dual piping dumps into one muffler with dual tips. I don't have any drone and under a light load, the exhaust isn't very loud. I would suggest looking into magnaflow.

Dude, thanks a million! Will get on this immediately...

And I'll stay away from the square tips; yes, looks like Magnaflow will solve my noise issues!

Quiet is boring! Go rear mount turbo and therefore no muffler and you'll never go back,

Would welding on this resonator work as well as the Magnaflow ones? I know Motordyne makes good stuff...
