i may end up downgrading...

im debating if its worth it to get a Honda CR-Z. i really like the set up and obviously i know performance wise it isnt close to a G. but in the end i just want something more fuel efficient, but the thing is, will it end up still being the same number wise at the end.. i would prob pay 100 more each month. on my G i go through roughly 200-275 bucks in gas a month. i think the number is closer to 300.. lol

My buddy has a CRZ and I've driven it a few times. Personally I'm not really a fan of it, I love the gas mileage but I think you'd get bored of it pretty quick coming from a decently hefty V6.

Try and get as much time in the CRZ as you can and see if you can really see yourself driving it. I know I definitely couldn't.

Called a Civic yuck, but like the Prius? *facepalm*

If your cars paid for, keep it.

I'd just get a $1500 beater corolla for commuting and keep the G. The CR-Z isn't going to cut your gas bill in half, instead of paying near $300/mo in gas you may pay $200 but then spend $100 more a month for the new car, a not as nice new car...

A brand spanking new car is never a downgrade...even if it's a prius.

Think of it this way...it's new. Nothing to fix (for a while)

I've been looking at the CR-Z as well. Plus the fact that I work across the street from a Honda dealership so I see'em everyday. I was looking at something more easier on the mpg's and the CR-Z caught my eye. Like you mentioned before it will not even come close to the performance of a G, but when I look at the window sticker and see 31 city & 37 hwy (6mt) it changes my perspective on things. I filled up my G yesterday and spent $61 on premium. The CR-Z has a 10 gal tank & recommends regular so I would've spent about $35 AND it would last me a lot longer than the tank of gas in my G. I also thought about getting a 2nd car/Beater but I kind of want just one car that will fill my needs. Sooooo Idunno. I'm interested to see what you decide on. Also here's a link to the thread I started almost a year ago on the CR-Z. Check it out and maybe it'll give you some more "insight" on the whole CR-Z issue.
