Air bag flashing Light - G35 Sedan 2005

Yes, there is a recall for the harness under the passenger seat, but we have 6 airbags total so it's a pretty large system and the chances of something else faulting other than the recalled harness are pretty big.
I had my driver's airbag replaced under warranty...wasn't cheap but fortunately it was covered. Resetting the airbag light worked for a week or so and then it would come back. Finally got around to taking the car in.
In MA, an airbag light would fail your vehicle inspection...meaning I'd have to get it fixed myself if it wasn't covered.

I did it 2 years ago after I experimented with swapping coupe seats into my car (05). Light never came back so I agree with Mustang, you probably have an issue that needs to be looked at.
There is a way to know what's wrong with the airbag system, look here:

From that point you'll know what's going wrong with it

I had the same issue last summer - I went to the dealership and they said that the recall was already done to my car by the previous owner. I cleared the flashing light with some pedal pressing and key turning, but it would just start flashing again after a couple days/weeks every time I did it.
Finally, I did more research and found some suggestions to 'undo' the recall. I got under both the driver and passenger seats, clipped the zip ties that were part of the TSB and separated the connectors. Added some dielectric grease liberally to the connectors, and plugged back in (without adding the zip tie again). It's been fine ever since.

ericdeyoung19,
do you have to remove the seats to get to the connectors?
Mine was flashing months after they did the TSB and I left it alone. I heard it is a common problem after the dealer zipped tie the harness.

I recently had the airbag light flash on my '05 as well. Reset it the first time and didn't come back until about 2-3 weeks later. Took it in to the dealer and they replaced the RH seat airbag. All covered under warranty, fortunately. I looked up the part number on the invoice and the bag itself is about $200. Not terribly steep but one would have to know how to replace it. I imagine the seat cover has to be removed.
FYI the original airbag recall's procedure was causing issues, and has been updated by another TSB: ANOTHER AIRBAG RECALL for the previous one !, so even if the recall's done to the car it needs to be corrected according to the TSB, and it should be free of charge, with or without warranty. Print out the TSB and show it to the dealership.
Yes. I purchased an extended warranty through Infiniti at 44k good through 94k. There's a time frame attached (later this year)but I will hit the mileage sometime next week.
