Do you actually have 1/4 mile times?

Motor Trend says 13.5@105mph for the G37 7AT sedan. Pretty dang quick for a V6 NA sedan, however, Lexus achieved the same performance with the IS350 back in 2006 and with less power.

A properly driven E46 M3 should be able to take a G37 sedan. I know I could

Take it to the strip where you can get a slip and compare that way. Without that, the races are pretty meaningless. I've beaten LS1 F-bodies at the strip to the finish line only because I outreacted them and got a better 60'. From the stands, it would look like I have the faster car, but in the reality they had a better ET/MPH though they got to the finish line last.

BTW, I'm not knocking the G37. It's quick and I'm not surprised it's outrunning a bolt-on 1st gen sedan. It's a well known fact that the 7AT G and Z cars are faster than their manual counterparts.

It was not a 1/4 mile day specifically , It was a road course day with the drift pad & the 1/4 thrown in for extra.

IMO these races were not meaningless , reaction times aside, 60' times aside It was just pure fun to race "down & Dirty"

Not 100% meaning less but a drag strip with the lights and proper timing would be a ton better.

The New engines are beast man!

Also I see you higher-ed redline, are you still making power after 6500?

There will be another track date coming up in August with the same vender(Max Grip) and I enjoyed myself for the money. It was well worth it $130 for half day at Willow. I was pushing so hard that the rubber was literally melting off of my tires.
