Hey all,

I'm not sure if I am just missing something here but looks like my front fenders had been rolled before I got the car. I just rolled my rear fenders in spring and it had a lip on the inside of the fender. Now, I was going to roll my fronts this weekend but when I looked behind the fender, the lip was already pressed in against the fender unlike the rear was. Or do I not get the concept of rolling front fenders? Help.

You have to pinch the front fenders because a roller will flair the fender. I recently did mine and if I recall the front lip curves up a little bit stock (unlike the rear which is horizontal).

 

My front is completely flat against the fender (parallell). Like you said, the rears were horizontal to the wheels. Fronts are "vertical" to the wheels. Should I do something to the fronts to avoid rubbing? I'm putting coils in in the near future.

 

Front fenders on our cars come rolled flat from the factory.

 

So, to conclude, will I not be rubbing in the front with coilovers or do i need to anything special to the fronts?

 

Depends on how low you go and what wheels (width, offset, and tires) you have/go with. Coilovers wont dictate if you will rub or not.

 

Lol, I have this stupid assumption that people know what I have my bad.

I have 19x8.5 w/ 225/35/19 in the front. I would say about 2 - 3 inches lower than stock in the front (maybe 4 but that is pushing it)

 

What's the front offset?

I believe you should be fine with that offset. It only extends by 17mm from your OEM wheel/tire size.

 

Pull the screw out of the fender liner, up top around 12:30. Your tires will rub there first. You should be fine.

You will not rub with an 8.5 +20 and a 225/35 19 dropped 3"+. You could do a 235/35/19 as well if you wanted to you'll have room.

I would not suggest rolling your fenders but rather pinching them with a fender finisher. If you use a fender roller our fronts are so thin that it will likely flare versus being rolled flat. Prior to pinching the fronts remove the screws from your fender liner and clean the inside of the fender to rid it of any debris. This will make sure that nothing leaves an imprint on your fender when pinching it flat.
