Honestly I would have gone with a coupe if I could have. I don't have to many people going in and out of my back seat. But I was made an offer I can't refuse on my sedan so I had to jump on it.

I wanted 4 doors and a real trunk, and there was no sacrifice in performance so it was a no brainer for me.

I've had two door cars several times during my life and loved the look but hated the practicality of them almost across the board. With the G sedan you get the best of both worlds IMO.

For me, from many angles, the coupe looked like it had a unually large butt in relation to the lines of the rest of the car.

im not a coupe guy unless it seats two, ive actually never even looked at the coupe when i was buying this. I was looking at a G8 but figured id rather own than make payments. I dont race i like the class and simple elegance the car has. coupes are so plain looking to me in the middle looks like they forgot something. Im also one of the guys who feels coupes are for girls(key word feel this is IMO) i look at my girls beetle and her scion TC and my other buddy whos on here with his g35 and the sides of the cars look like a plain white wall without a picture if you will so unless you guys make a DIY for four door conversion im happy

I've had 2 coupes, but here's my 2c

Why I would get a Sedan:

It's lighter
You can lie down in the back (I'm 21 give me a break)
2nd Gen HR sedan might as well be a g37, which stomps all over my 06 coupe
There is an option of AWD, although I wouldnt take it
Room to move stuff around (I move every year, it's a total b1tch, and I buy and return TVs like no other)

Why I bought the coupe:

I was young, I wanted 2 doors, because it was the sexy thing to do.
I pretty much fell in love with the look of the G coupe. Not so much the sedan, just a personal preference.
I was in the market for a Z, but felt it was WAAAAY too impractical. the G coupe was a semi-compromise (4 seats? wtf??)

IMO:
I don't think that either gender is inclined to purchase either a coupe or a sedan
the G coupe is compared to the Z, but I think that they are a completely different set of tastes.

Next for me (post college/pay off college/ballerCEO status):
Bimmer coupe -> GTR -> Aston
I love the practicality of a sedan, but goddammit right now i think 2 doors is still sex. I can always get a old beater truck or something for the practicality, and i'll let my friends drive if there are more than 4.

I went with the sedan for the space because at the time I was going to clubs and bars a lot. I figured I didn't want anyone to be kicking my chair while getting in or out of my car. I originally had a Tahoe that I traded in for the sedan, so having 4 doors wasn't a big shock for me.

I am definitely more of a sedan guy.... doesn't matter what car it is, i'd just rather have the 4 door..

That, and coupe drivers just give me this image of over testosterone induced guys that just bought it so they can pick up chicks. Wtf??? I dont want to be associated with that.

Couldn't afford insurance on a Z and I sure as **** wasn't buying a two door with a back seat.

So I bought a sedan and don't use the back seat.

#1 reason...AWD.

I had driven 10+ years with RWD + snow tires and needed a change. Even with all seasons, its just so much more stress free in deep snow.

#2, practicality. I can load up a few buddies, fit out golf clubs in the trunk and go play a round. I don't even think you can fit golf clubs in a coupe?

The rear doors open 90* which is great for putting stuff in the backseat....not people. But things you can't get in the trunk like a flatscreen TV

The rear seats are more comfortable than the fronts....especially when reclined
