new g35 owner....

Hi everyone just got a great deal on a 03.5 OB 6MT sedan from a friend of mine. He is deploying in Dec and did want to worry about storage and payments while he was gone so he shot me a deal and all i had to do was pay off his loan. which was 7k. the car has 90k miles and in decents shape. so i pic up the car last night.

the cons of the car.
-drivers side rear door has some white road marker paint spackled on it
-needs a good buff job
-has the infamous hvac problem.

I have done a lot of research on the forum and the first thing i wanna do is fix the stereo and hvac. luckily its set at 75 which isnt too bad here in so cal.
my question is i kno that the issue is with the head unit and circuit board. and yes i kno i could do the dd conversion but i wanna keep the stock look for now. so my question is do i replace the head unit or do i need to replace the board behind the face of the display?
i have search the forums but couldnt find a defiant answer and wanna buy the right parts the first time.
thanks

here is another question i have other than the OP my car has the oem nismo front and side skirts. but the skirts behind the back tires are plastic and un painted. ive seen some g35s that have the unpainted plastic side skirts. also on bother of them they have and open hole going thru them in the same spot as u can see in the pic

OMFG..is that a original nismo kit. BTW...amazing price on the car welcome and get acquainted with this thread on saving $$$.

Edit: For the stereo..you can have it fixed for $300 from an electronic shop or buy a unit for ebay and pray and hope it works. I would get an aftermarket double din conversion kit and slap a single din cd player and call it a day. All that should set you back $300 and you should have it last much much longer than an ebay unit or possibly even one that has been repaired for $300 with just solder reflow.
