HELP! - 2004 Infiniti G35 SEDAN Spoiler Removal

Hello all, Is there any way to remove the Spoiler from a 04 Sedan? I'm not worried about the holes from the spoiler but rather any other damage caused by removal. Infiniti wants to charge me up the @ss for doing it, or $850 for a new trunk..

When I open the trunk, you can see 2 screws clearly from the spoiler. Removing the trunk cover doesn't show any more screws, but it seems like there is another 1 for each side.

Anyone experienced in taking it off?

Thanks in advance.

Its been a while since I installed mine, but I think there were only two screws and the brake light connection. Double sided tape was used as well.

Edit, there will be three holes in the trunk where the spoiler was fastened. The brake light wiring harness hole was quite large if I remember correctly.

Okay, so it's just a matter of taking the 2 out and pulling it off. Holes would have to be fixed and paint matched asap. Hmm, to go down the dark trail of spoiler removal or not... :/ Thanks!

Why don't you post in your regional forum and see if somebody wants to trade trunks? You may find somebody with the same color that wants a spoiler.

I've decided that the carbon fibre trunk isn't for this car.. But I will post a trade up online in and around Calgary, Alberta.

In the meantime.. Is it possible that there are 2 other spots that the trunk attaches too? I swear something else is holding this damn spoiler on! Haha!

For me it's not so much a quality issue with the trunks, it's a fitment thing. Apparently the Earth has to shift slightly off it's axis for these to fit correctly and I have yet to see a picture of one or one in person that fits like it should (OEM in my opinion) Biggest area of opportunity is where the taillights meet up. My biggest aftermarket pet peeve for my car, I would love to have one of these.
