The guy at the muffler shop asked me if i wanted to keep the sedan midpipe when i swapped it out lol should've seen the look on my face, told him to burn it

Why not? When some rust-belter is looking for one in a few years when his corrodes from salt, you could have made an easy $75-100 off it.

lol umm yea nah i'm good i chunked the midpipe and muffler at the same time..was like my car lost 100lbs, felt it immediately

Wow, I had no idea the coupe midpipe was THAT much lighter.

Seems like a no brainer.

Actually, it's only 25lb lighter.

OEM 03/04 = 35lb
Coupe = 10lb


still a no-brainer though.

It sure felt a lot heavier than 25lb
Just make sure you put in new gaskets (coupe gasket on the back end). You don't want to reuse them. When I swapped mine with the coupe midpipe, those rust looks nasty, and I live in SoCal!

I love the sound. Mine is a 04, so it has a shorter rear muffler. The sound change is a lot more dramatic than the 05/06.
