Exclamation Rattling noise coming from engine!! HELP!

Hey guys been hearing this weird noise coming from my engine bay somewhere. It sounds like a flapping noise like the sound you get when you put playing cards on your bike tires.

Goes away about 30mph, i hear it when im going 10-15mph. I can hear it when i lightly rev the engine and also when the rpms are on the decline below 1500rpms.

Also heard it when I started up my car today. It was a painful sound. sounded like there was a rock in there or something.

My first guess would be something with the serpentine belt but I can find no problems? Another thing that scares me is that my oil level or pressure might be low Anyone help me out???!?!

Check your oil man. I had same noise and situation last week. Checked my oil it looked fine to me. Took it to dealer they said I was low as ****. Guess there's a magic way to read our dipsticks lol. But yeah same noise around 2k declining. Worse when the car is cold. Oil level or pressure.

Seconded. Mine begins to make a little bit of a clicking noise even before the oil gets out of the low end of the acceptable range. If I keep it near the top, it goes away. Could be a more extreme version of the same thing.

the only way to accurately check oil levels is to leave your car either overnight or 5+ hours in a leveled street.
