I have an 05 too. It's pretty common for the TPMS light to come on after 30+ miles or so if the sensors are not programmed by the dealer or whoever. If you get it done, then rotate your tires, you have to get it done again and each time after that. See where I'm going with this? For me it's kind of ridiculous since I rotate my expensive tires often. I am fully capable of checking the tire pressure the good old fashioned way. Besides, ours doesn't even tell you the pressure. I just live with the TPMS light coming on every now and then.

Rotating tires shouldn't affect the light. I rotate my tires all the time, and the TPMS light never comes on because of that.

Well it's good to know that it's not something I need to be overly worried about. In the span of a month I'd only drive more than 15 miles a day maybe three or four days, so I'm sure it'll be fine. Out of curiosity though, what does it cost for the dealer to calibrate them or whatever?

Discount Tire or a shop like that will charge you less to program your sensors than a dealer will.

That would make more sense. I thought I read that somewhere. I bought my car used and the TPMS light has always come on periodically. Mine have never really worked right Then later I bought different wheels with different sensors. Maybe that's where I got my info mixed up. You have to get them reprogrammed if you change wheels and change the sensors.
Sorry for the mix-up.
