Knowing when it's time to say goodbye
Dodge's sales volumes are up right now. Not because they produce an awesome product, but because they are basically giving them away. I do have to admit that some (emphasis on some) of the new Dodge styling appeals to me.
I love the Challenger, it's freakin sweet. The old charger wasn't bad, new one is fail (srry bro, just my opinion, doesn't matter).
The thing about it is, they still FEEL like muscle cars. They are more reliable than they used to be, but they're still junk.

Having driven the newer models as loaners over the years, I didn't really feel that much of a difference when I got my car back at the end of the day. Of course they were newer, felt quicker and the interior was updated but it wasn't enough to get me to trade up.
I did consider it on occasion, though.

I also like the first gen body style, even though ti looks a bit dated. Simple and more masculine than the 2nd and 3rd gen.
I drive by a dodge dealer every morning past all the challengers. I think they will be considered the best retro-inspired model once the fad is over. I like the all metal (or nearly all metal) of the old muscle cars but in the days of everyone driving a bigass truck/SUV while on their cell phone or with their sound system jacked up to deafening levels (yes, that's you audio forum) I feel that I need the safety of airbags and side airbags and modern crumple zones.
