G2 is a much nicer paint. I believe its an epoxy based or mixed paint Goes on much easier. Im not sure what G35844 meant by it being a pain. Its as easy as taking your wheels off, cleaning the surface, and painting.

I dont know about painting the rotors...it might look ok.

I will post pics later of my silver painted calipers
If you are going through that much trouble you really should paint your rotors' centers.. mine had rust on them and looked like ish. Just spray the middle and the first time you use your brakes, it will get rid of any overspray. I only used two coats and it lasted about a year before the rust showed on the edges.

Powder coating has it's on issues however. In certain situations, it can weaken metals which is why you really need to know what you are doing when PC'ing wheels or brake componensts.

I've seen one track related Failure where improper PC was a suspect.

I agree. I hardly think that OEM calipers are worth powder coating. The Duplicolor caliper brush on kit is good enough and it's easy. You can have them PC by the best shop... but still be rocking ugly OEM calipers..

Oh, there's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more to that phrase than what you'll find on UD
Let's just say, there's a bit of a history where G35Driver.com, "Douchecanoe" and Blue Dream intersect

I bought a $4.96 High Temp paint at Home Depot (black) and painted my calipers. I came out great. The collar was matte black, not glossy which is what I wanted. So far so good.
