You would need the ECU and another module (the name exscapes me at the moment) for the tranny for it to work properly.

at least not that I know of... TechnoSquare use to do them here in Torrance, California but I think they've retired that program =\
I thought they weren't doing ECU tunes for the doggy-door ECUs. Mine is not doggy-door so maybe I still have hope.

I would be down for something like this if it's really worth it. Originally, I was planning on getting the 05-06 engine, but everyone was saying that there were many complications, including ECU.

I just want my car to perform just as good as the stock 05-06 ones, at least for now since I don't have any mods, besides coupe mid pipe.

Um... if your going to spend money swapping tranny, ecu, etc. Wouldn't it be cheaper to sell your car and get an 05/06?

There are no horsepower differences between the 03/04 and 05/06 (unless the 05/06 is RevUp, of course). It's been proven many, many times on the dyno. If you have a RevUp you'll get slightly more hp on the dyno, but it's not really until the HR engines that you notice much of a difference.

I too have noticed the same thing while driving my gf's 06 350Z, where it "feels" more responsive. It seems like to me that the pedal is more sensitive, and that's the only difference. This is basically the same thing the SprintBooster does. It seems the ECU likes to keep the revs higher. I've noticed that in her car, the it shifts around 3k RPM in auto mode under normal driving conditions, while mine shifts around 2250-2500. If I press the pedal down more on my car, it thinks I'm trying to floor it and holds the gear longer.

The real way to compare the power differences is how it feels under the same RPM's as the other car. This is where I notice a good amount more power with my car (which is heavily modded) than hers (stock).

I believe all 05+ 6mt's were the rev-up motor

Wouldn't basic bolt-ons put you there ? you mentioned a coupe midpipe so why not do a spacer/hr y-pipe/Art-HFC-Tp - pick one/ and Transgo if you want to mess with the trans.

Thanks for the link to that thread. I hope these guys can work something out for the early ECUs. But for sure, bolt-ons are coming next, test pipes, and a trans-go type of thing that some guy on the forum here makes.
