Looks good, but it looks like you have the muffler upfront with some weird piping for the right side. How does that sound? What's the performance impact with it?

yea, its kind of weird, its acctualy a dual muffler dual exhaust, but thats only because when they were putting all of it together i was going to use a resonator, but we started it up with that and it was just rediculously loud so instead of a resonator we used a smaller muffler up front and the borla muffler in the back, and the borla muffler is designed for camaros, i think it sounds perfect, not too loud, engine kind of purrrs........im not sure how many hp it added but it feels faster, and its deff. lighter because the stock resonator is HUGE and weighs a ton

I think it looks awesome tho, i left the stock headers n y pipe and everything just took of everything else........ill take some more pics in a lil bit n post em

ooh yeah, and the reason you cant get another muffler on the right side is because thats where the fuel vaporization tank is(i thinks that what its called, but if not it has something to do with that) so there is a cover on the pipe n heat insulation on the top of the pipe

it s a single exhaust with a dummy pipe . it would ve been a dual if 2 pipes were coming of the cats and then another muffler. looks good though.

nah man, theres no dummy pipe, The Borla muffler is for camaros, its hot, theres 2 exhaust exits in the muffler, and there is a second muffler where the stock resonator use to be, there is no way to get another muffler on the right side, so thats why i had to do it the way i did, its looks awesome and sounds great, and thats all that really matters.......

So if I'm seeing this correct... you have a Y from the Cats to the smaller muffler, which leads a single pipe back to the Borla muffler, which then splits it back out to the 2 exhaust pipes? It's not a true dual if that's the case but hey if it works for you great. Did you make any sound clips yet?

yeah i know, its not a true dual exhaust, but thats the only way you can do it without moving too much stuff around and voiding warrantys......theres the fuel vaporization bowl right there, and it would be a real pain to move it, and expensive....... i got everything parts and labor for $870........It really sucks that infiniti made it so you cant fit another muffler on the right.......but it looks great and sounds perfect, no sound clips yet, but ill try to make some tommorow

Thanxs Dude, I like what I got going however, and will get this Y pipe thing rectfied by weekend's end. I've built enough custom bikes not to let a stink'n Y pipe get in the way of success. Matter of fact I'll probably have more trouble getting the right diameter (to bolt up to a stock '05 coupe mid pipie) than tig'n on a bracket to what ever Y I decide to try...JBX thanx
