Depends on what finish he wants on his grill. If he wants a glossy finish, then yes, he should paint it, but if he wants a matte black, plastidip is the obvious choice.

The grill on our cars is one thing IMO that we shouldnt be completely modding. i think stock looks fine. Painting it black or deleting the logo as other members on here have done looks good. Please no mesh grills though.

I agree. I love my stock 06's grill. No desire to change it at all even if someone offered me up whatever grill i wanted for free

My friend painted his grill matte black and i plastidipped mine to see what it would look like, and i can assure you that mine looks a lot better. All you have to do is apply light even coats and allow time to dry inbetween. If you want the glossy look, you can still apply clear coats over the plastidip.

I'm not sure how well clear coats would go with plastidip. I guess I'd have to see it, but I don't see a clear coat working well with the rubber material.

Don't waist your time w/ billet grills. To me and a few others on here, it doesn't look good on the G at all.

Mine's getting nicked up pretty bad, I have been thinking of the PD thing. May try it. I just wish someone made an "emblemless" STOCK grill in the original dark chrome for the Sedan.

don't plastidip, i did that to one of my old grills & when i wanted to take it off it's a pain in the *** to get it out of all the little nooks and crannys and it pretty much ruined my grill, either get it painted OB or paint it gloss black or do an emblemless and also paint it OB or gloss black.

like this

and not this (plastidip) notice how cheap it looks compaired to the chrome.

I only ran the plastidip for a few days and went straight into making it an emblemless, I'm actually selling this one because I have a new one being made using plastic weld instead of bondo.
