Warning Lights (Brakes, Slip, VDC) On Together

Has this happened to anyone else? Sometimes just the slip and vdc lights are on together, other times the emergency brake light decides to join them. This has happened to me four times already. Am I alone? Is this just a wiring malfunction or does it have to do with the brakes?

I've had this once previously, and again today. The last time it happened was due to a needed brake job (front pads had to be replaced). I believe it is the same this time and I need another brake job. I've checked by brake fluid level and it does appear to be down significantly, but not below the minimum mark on the reservoir.

It does seem like normal functions (all light go out) return if I leave the car off for a few minutes, but if I brake hard, I can get the lights to come back on.

I think you'll also see that VDC, and traction control are both not working while the lights are lit. I think ABS is also broken but I can't confirm it. Having these three off made for an interesting drive coming home today across icy roads.
