Tokico HPs are a popular choice on here. For a little more you can get their "D Specs" which will offer adjustable dampening as well.

there are no aftermarket struts/shocks for the front of the 04 AWD. the rear RWD and AWD shocks are the same tho, so aftermarket is available for the rear only. . .

There are 3 choices for coilovers. BC Racing, Megan, and I guess Ksport just made some. If you want to you can send your fronts to truechoice where they will make it into a koni strut. The price of is just about the same as the coilovers and that is just for the front.

KYB makes front struts for awd, an economical alternative to factory struts

The KYB are oem replacements they wont do much for aftermarket. But yes if you want to just replace them they will be the way to go.

according to the KYB website (http://www.kyb.com/pdf/kyb_catalog.pdf) they do not make struts for the 2004 AWD

I kinda want struts/showcks for my '06x next summer as well.

So, is OEM the only option? I don't want coil-overs or any sort of performance shock. Just want a cozy ride.

KYB does make OEM replacement front and back struts for the 05x and 06x, just not the 04x

Why would the coilover companies use the same part number for the 04-06, funny thing is that they used the same coilover for the 04 for the 07 awd. I am 100% sure that they will fit.

Carrottop what are you looking for. What is your budget. How low do you want to go?
