Finally Got Into A G35x!

If some of you frequent my350z.com you may know me as Quamen. I have a high compression stroked LS1//TH400 swapped 350z. I have also had a custom v-mount supercharger kit and two custom single turbo kits on the Z but now the car is primarily a drag car with the V8 in it. I have done all the work myself and after years of work I decided it was time to get something fun as a daily driver... in steps the G35x I just picked up! Looking to keep it simple and just do springs, rims and paint the engine cover. Other than that I am going to leave it stock and enjoy it!

My new baby!

Some pictures and videos of the Z!

I also have a facebook page that I use to post updates to my car as well as many others (http://www.facebook.com/?ref=logo#!/...07293732705806). I would love to post pictures of many of the cars on this forum as I have been trolling this forum for quite sometime now hence my love for the G. Please "like" my facebook page and post pictures of your cars or email them to me at z33art@hotmail.com !

nice! welcome...

i kinda LOLed at what you said. While i completely understand the purpose of a DD, from what you have done with your Z to a guy saying "looking to paint the engine cover" its just funny to me. =)

well enjoy NOT having traction issues

Agreed. I have never been one for dress up type modifications. Maybe the lack of street ability that my Z has is what has made me appreciate the street ability of my Z. The G handles great and has wonderful traction... The Z not so much. 1st gear goes to 51mph and 2nd to 92mph and it will still light the tires up from a roll with ease. At times that makes the Z fun (like showing off) and at other times it sucks like trying to pull hard on the street.

Both look like nice cars. More and more LS swaps in these cars, I may have to do one in the distant future!

Let the modding for the G begin

As a DD it feels quick but otherwise no. The Z can put down 1.510 60 foots on motor. I'm putting a 150 shot on it over winter and hoping to hit 1.450's and get into the 9's.

It's a friends who is storing it in my garage over winter. The one under the cover is a Mach1.

I am an Engineer for a living so in comparison to what I do at work it wasn't hard. I designed and fabricated everything myself including the long tube headers, engine mounts, oil pan and transmission mounts. I could have went with a Sikky kit but I wanted my engine as far back as possible.

On a side note, the Z only weighs 2,800lbs wet w/o me in it ! In the process of getting it down to low 2,700's.
