Gas Gauge Needle
Gas Gauge Needle
For the second time in a year and a half the needle on my gas gauge has flipped over so that it's stuck on the wrong side of the peg below "E". Both times the tank was 3/4 full. I have noticed that the needle bounces when I crank the starter but what causes it to go counter clock-wise over the top? How can I prevent this from happening again?
The last time I had my regular mechanic fix it. I assumed that he partialy disassembled the dash to get to the gauge.
I know others have had this happen. I read about it here a few months before the first time it happened to me.
